more than one company code in our company

hi expert,

previously in our company there was a one company code and i had made all the configuration and pm module running ok.

now they are making 11 company code. so for this what all the other configuration for pm or we can run by existing.

Hi Santhosh,

MM might have created Plant and asigned to Company code.From PM point of view create Maintenance plants and assigned to Plant. Create Planning plant and assign Maintenace plants to planning plant. Create Work centers and assinged to Maintenance plant and plant. There is no need to create company code. Consult FI/CO consultant for G/L Account, cost center and Cost element for your work centers and Technical objects.

I think, with that decision, they've caused a lot of work for you.

Look at transaction OX18 (Assign Plant to Company Code)

You can only assign one Company Code to a Plant (although you can assign lots of Plants to one company code).

So if you have 11 Company Codes, you are going to need 11 Plants.

Hello,

It may not be possible to configure directly in PM module, prior to that some sort of settings tobe done in FI and MM.

Comany code settings in FI, extension of cost centers,G/Ls,CE etc..

Plant settings in MM

MM intgration settings(Like extension of Material Master(Spares), storage locations etc...

In Plant maintenance you need to copy all the settings for newly created plant(if the Business processes is same as existing company).

It will be just like rolling out from one company to other company.

Hi Santosh,

Basically our structure is dependent on plant, Now we have an assignment company code to plant and if currency are different we have to see. Pls elobarate your problem further.
