Has the SAP search function become case-specific with 2007 A PL:11? Our previous version of SAP (2005 A PL:31) would search for Sales Orders for a specific file number when entering a portion of the Customer Reference Number; now it will not, even though there are several sales orders created with that customer reference number, the search comes up empty u2013 the message u201CNo matching records foundu201D flashes across the bottom of the screen.
Is there a feature I can turn on or did this go away with 2007?
Nate,
It is easy for you to tell if it is case sensitive or not. Try to input less letters with different scenario and a wild card character to see.
Thanks,
Gordon

Tried to input less characters, that has not affect (searching for a Sales Order). It seems this feature is not available in SAP 2007. The account I am looking for exist, in SAP 2005 as you start to type a character the possibly matches were displayed, in 2007 it seems I can only search by using the following method" In the sales order window, Customer: C*, will pull up all customers beginning with C.
In SAP 2005, the searching for Customer Reference Number is finding every instance of the order no matter where the portion you input is in the whole text. That might not be a good thing for some users.
It will not be convenient for you for sure. Try to upgrade to new PL in testing to see if the searching function is your favorite.
Thanks,
Gordon
