Is it possible to have multiple XSA servers pointing to a single HANA system? For instance, one for internal use (behind firewall) and another one for external use (in DMZ with a firewall between XSA and HANA DB)?

Depends what you mean by multiple XSA servers. There is only one XSA "instance" per HANA instance. However this XSA instance can be spread across multiple hosts. In other words you can install multiple xs_worker role nodes across multiple hosts and those can be be inside and outside a firewall. However in the end you only have a single controller/controller API/hostname configuration for the entire instance.

Got it. If that is the case, I cannot have two XSA instances with different support pack levels pointing to the same HANA instance.

You can't have two different XSA instance pointing to the same HANA instance - period.
