Hello to all.
Some users are trying to create PM notifications on Saturdays and they receive the message "Date x is not a workday; last workday is x".
Having this in consideration, we're looking into adding Saturday as a workday to Factory Calendar.
I've seen many posts regarding the holidays part but not the actual workdays.
Can anyone help me into clarifying the risks/impacts of this (small?) change in the several SAP modules (FI, CO, MM, SD, PM, WM, others).
Thanks in advance for your help.
Factory calendars have usually IDs which are assigned in master data and customizing, this way it is possible that one group can work 6 days a week while others just have a 5 day week.
you have to obtain the factory calendar Id anyway if you want to make a change, if this calendar is used all over in your various modules then you just create a 6 workday calendar with a new ID and assign it to your PM objects to not effect the other modules.

Factory Calendar defines ATP and Capacity planning as well. unless its a true 6 work days a new calendar should be defined as
Jürgen suggested. but in case your work center is not separate from the production work centers, then the 6th day is added for planning.
In our case we run a 5 day plant but some days they work over the weekend and get paid overtime. We were getting a warning at the time of confirmation in CO11N. we suppressed the warning and everything worked as it should.

Usually in your work center - if no calendar is maintained there then SAP uses the calendar assigned to the plant which would then create conflicts with other modules if you would change it here.

Hello Jürgen. Thanks a lot for your help.
So I'll have to create a second calendar.
Now the question is, once the second calendar is created how do i assign it to PM objects?
