SSO22KerbMap DDL does not load..

Hi,

I am trying to implement SSO22KerbMap filter on Sharepoint to achieve SSO between SAP EP and Sharepoint. The SharePoint server is on 64 bit windows and i am following the SAP Note 984604 to complete the configuration.

The SSO22KerbMap.dll is now showing Status as "Not Loaded" and Priority * Unknown * with a red downward arrow mark. I have tried restarting the IIS after adding the file. The Event Viewer Application log does not log any message.

Has anyone faced a similar issue. Please let me know how to resolve this so that the filter is loaded correctly.

Thanks,

Hi Kiran,

did you ever resolve this issue? I'm facing the same problem, also on 64 AND 32 bit environments. The library never gets loaded and the website returns an Error 500.

Marcel,

I had tried this on 64 bit machines and found that whenever i set the log level to 2 or 3 in the .ini file it always used to fail.

When i set the log level to 1 it used to work. What is your log level setting? try reducing if it is 2 or 3 and check.

Thanks!!

10 million points for you if I could award them! It solved the problem! Very odd, because when I use log level 3 the logs were written and in the logs I could read that the filter was active, but this was not the case in IIS. Now the arrow is up. Thank you!

I'm also trying to implement the filter on a 32bits windows system, without succes also. Changing the log level did not help there unfortunatly. Do you have more clever ideas?

cheers

Ha, i just solved it. With the latest version of the SSO22KerbMap filter you must install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) package (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=200b2fd9-ae1a-4a14-984d-389c36f85647&displaylang=en) and remove the mcvp71.dll and mcvr71.dll files even on a 32bit machine.

I got confused because in SAP Note Note 735639 - SSO22KerbMap: Known issues (version 39) it clearly states to use those files, but this doesn't work. The evenviewer showed:

Could not load all ISAPI filters for site/service. Therefore startup aborted. and The HTTP Filter DLL C:\Inetpub\sso2\SSO22KerbMap.dll failed to load. The data is the error.

After installing the package above it works fine.

Hi,

Did you have to change the Application Pool to Local System on the Identity tab as per the documentation? For the Sharepoint site I'm trying to configure, it has to be a predefined user because the database is on a different host. I tried adjusting the file directory security to make sure that user could read the files in the SSO22KerbMap folder.

I still get a Red Arrow.

Thanks!

Do you also get the red arrow if you set the Identity to Local System? If not, make sure your predefined user has full control on the directory with the Kerbmap, sapssoext and sapsecu dll's.

PS if the error in the event viewer shows that the filter is not loaded, download ,install and use the Dependency Walker to see why the sso22kerbmap.dll file is not loaded.
