Reset Password Error URL for Community

Hi All

Not sure who to direct this one to... I had to choose forgot password for logging into community (I changed machines and it turns out I hadn't needed password for a while)

I received the reset password email but the link didn't work as it's incorrect - I received a 404 error

https://activities.sap.com/;IDSactivation

works if I change to the /; to ? for a parameter

https://activities.sap.com?IDSactivation

Screen shot of my email

404 error screen shot (Manually editing the URL to the correct value allowed me to reset my password)

Hi, Colleen:

My normal contact for these questions has limited availability this week, but I'll see if I can find someone to assist.

Best regards,

Hi, Colleen,
I've found the issue and have sent the relevant team a request to change the configuration. It's not a bug 🙂
If you'd trigger forgot password from Blogs / Answers or People Profile the URL would be correct. The Activities app was configured differently from the aforementioned community apps.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention!

Kind Regards,
Vladimir

Thanks! Ah the good ol bug vs feature debate for incident/break fix vs change request debate

well, I'd be more precise and say that the activities app wasn't configured in alignment to other community systems in regards to this specific parameter. Could be a human error. A bug would require coding and deployment and etc.. This is a simple config change. And it's definitely not a feature 🙂
