Hi,
I'm a real beginner in WebDynpro application.
Can you please tell me the list of things to be installed to be able to run and deploy WebDynpro porjects with
SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 SR5?
What about SAP AS and default SAP system?
Thank you in advance!

hi,
could u explain ur problm in detail that would really help us solving ur problm.are u getting an empty list in the
window->preferences->java if yes then install java version higher than 1.4.2 . to deploy an applicationo all u need to do is set window->preferences->sap j2ee engine
if ur using remotely installed j2ee engine
in message server host put the ip address of the j2ee engine
and put the port no in message port no.
then after u apply these settings.
close nwds.restart nwds.
go to
Window->show view->other->j2ee->j2ee engine
then a tab will appear at the bottom of the window in the deployment output window click on j2ee engine tab.ull see the status of ur j2ee server if its green u can deploy ur application.

Hi Mary,
You Need to have java Installed on your system and NWDS. Prerequisite for NWDS is WAS(Web Application Server) ABAP + JAVA If you have already installed this, then you need to Install NWDS and Configure it. In NWDS Window --> Preferences --> SAP J2EE Engine.
Give the Host Name :
Port No :
Create a web Dynpro Project and create an Application, Deploy it and Run it on Server. you will deploy the Project From NWDS using SDM.
Here is a Link For Getting Familiar With Web Dynpro Java and NWDS. In NWDS also you have help - refer to it for UI Elements and to Get familiar with NWDS.

Hi,
First You Install Java Software On Your Client Machines. And Environment To Be Set.
After You Install Any NWDS Version Install In Client Machine. While Intalling You Specify the Path Where Java Software Installed.
You Develop Application In NWDS Using ANy Perspective.
If You Want To Run Or Deploy Application You Require SAP J2EE Engine Details.
You Collect Details On Message Server Host And SDM Password.
You Specify properties in Settings.
You Can Deploy Application in J2EE Engine.
Points Are Welcome
Thanks

Hi,
To start developing Webdynpro applications
You need to install the WAS(Netweaver Composition Engine)
An NWDS(Netweaver Developer Studio ) compatible to the WAS.
JDK 1.5 which can be downloaded from Sun webite or else use the one provided by the engine.

For deployment u need a j2ee server installed as well as a was server having version 7.0 .
u need to configure these settings as follows go to
IN webdynpro perspective go to windows tab
under it in preferences in prefrenes go SAP J2ee engine option
set the message server host ,message server post. if the j2ee server is installed remotely.
u would also require sdm password for deployin the application which wil be provided to u by ur poratl administrator.
