Hi Experts,
I have implemented the portal in my organization. Now I need to customize the page according to my requirements. based on that, I trying to show the Personalize option in the top Masthead area. How to do it ?
I opened the Default Framework page and in the top Masthead properties, I made the Personalize option as Yes, but ! the result is same. I don't find that option in my portal even I restarted the server.
Help anyone
Thanks
Suresh
Open your User Management (User Administration). Search for required User.
Then search for role pcd:portal_content/every_user/general/eu_role in Portal Role.
Assign this role to your User.
Then Logoff and Login again or just Refresh.
You will see personalize link in your masthead.

Hi,
In order to add the Personlize link you have to do two things.
1. set to yes the property "Show Link in Masthead: Personalize" in the masthead iView in the framework page.
If you never change this setting it should be set to yes already.
2. assign the eu_role to the user you would like to add the link.\

OK... this can happen when you dont use the correct desktop..
open your master rule collection and check the rule setttings....determine whether you have the
correct desktop and in that desktop whether your masthead has the personalize option checked.....for your confidence restart the server and check the personalize link.....it HAS to show up !
hope this helps...

check the master rule collection under...
sys admin > sys configuration > portal content > portal administrators > super admin > master rule collection
and check the rule settings. by default you should have If user =* then portal desktop = the standard default desktop.
assuming that you have a different desktop and that desktop has the personalize option canceled you might want to turn it on for that framework page...
having the eu_role still doesn't solve the problem since the default desktop can have the masthead property personalize option turned off.....so you might want to check on that as well.....
with all these options you should be able to solve the problem......
best of luck !!
