Custom BPF email template

Hi,

We have been asked to change the email body that currently goes out in BPF emails. I have followed everything that is mentioned in the blogs https://archive.sap.com/documents/docs/DOC-66028 and https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/CPM/How+to+maintain+BPF+email+templates but still the email goes out with the old SMARTFORM. The subject line change appears so that means it is picking up the custom entry but the Z smartform is not getting picked up.

Any pointers on this?

Created everything in program RSBPCB_MAINTAIN_EMAIL_TMPL but same result. The Start email does not even go out with Z smartforms.

Any other setting or program that we might need to update?

Thanks for looking into this, i deleted all the existing changes and recreated it but still an issue.

• 1.Using t-code SMARTFORMS I copied an existing smartform UJB_SF_EMAIL_TMPL_3 and created a new one as Z_UJB_SF_EMAIL_TMPL_3.
• 2.In the new one I went to change mode clicked on NOTIF_BODY and changed the content of the email as per this screenshot and saved it.

• 3.Then I went to t-code SE38 and executed the program UJB_MAINTAIN_EMAIL_TMPL. I clicked on edit and then created a new entry and saved it.

• 4.After this I get a new entry as shown below:

• 5.Then I login to BPC and start a new Process Instance. This should trigger an email for the start of the process and when I go to t-code SOST I see that the email for START process was not even triggered. Now if I change the smartform to an existing/system provided then I do get the email with the changed subject line.

Looks like everything is fine!

Try to copy RSBPCB_SF_EMAIL_TMPL_3 to Z_UJB_SF_EMAIL_TMPL_3 as in https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/CPM/How+to+maintain+BPF+email+templates

Then you are doing something wrong...

And it's not possible to help you without detailed steps of what you are doing with screenshots!
