Dear Experts

My client requirement is to enter the Demand in alternative unit of measure.

Base Unit of measure in MTS

MTS (metric ton) is used because of Bill of material correct proportion (3 Digit allowed @ component quantity)

Alternative unit is G and Kg.

Demand from customer will be of G(Grams) and Kg (Kilograms)

Thanks in advance

Plz Maintain Sales Unit as " Gram " in Material Master sales org 1 view .

You can also do production in Grams By maintaing Production Unit in Material Master Work scheduling view .

How is it even possible to have metric ton as base unit and gram as alternative unit?

1 ton <=> 1000000 gram

SAP allows only 5 digits (no decimals) as a maximum entry in the conversion ratio for an alternative unit.

Thanks Jurgen L

In my scenario Gram is not base or alternate unit of measure

example only I mentioned.

Is it possible to enter the demand 90000 EA instead of 2500 CS.

Then it was a very stupid example. Why inventing such stupid examples when it is possible to use a correct example right away? As you see it just costs time and effort on the way to a solution
