Planned order for product X is not driving requirements for all components

Hello Gurus,

I am currently experiencing problem with some of our planned orders. Some of them are not driving requirements for all components even though the components validity periods are active when the planned order is scheduled. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Dear SASjr,

Have faced same kind of issues few days back so possibly following checks might help you....

1) Check out PPM type selected in Orders. If order is a SNP Order & PP/DS PPM is present then demand will not flow at component level & vice-versa.....

Same issue happened in my project as well, Planned orders generated through SNP heuristic run but demand has not flown at component level. Problem was that no SNP PPM created for same FG materials. after conversion of PP/DS PPM into SNP PPM it worked.

2) Check MRP Type for all component items. Demand flow happens through BOM explosion & in APO explosion will happen for those materials which are having APO relevnt MRP type(X0).

3) If any master data changes happened for materials then re-CIF PPM integration model.

Hope it hepls.......

Regards,

Hardik

Hello Severino,

Is the product location combination of the parent product and component is same or different,If different is there valid transportation lane defined between the 2 locations.

You can also try to re-generate the low - level codes using /SAPAPO/SNPLLC for low level components to be planned.

Hi Severino,

Please make sure SDP Relevance indicator should be either Blank or "2" under the "Properties" tab of product master for end product and its components, which you want to be planned in SNP

Please check the production versions(MM03) and BOMs(CS03) in R/3 and make sure it has the right components with validity periods

Hi Hardik,

Thank you so much with your inputs. I really appreciated. I have checked the MRP types of the components and its X0. Just wanted to know if what are the driving criteria why this is happen? Its PPM is also valid...

Thank you.

Hi ,

Also check the PPM does exists in active model. Many times it happens that we create the SNP PPM and forget to assign to active model.
