I have two physical data models Staging and Integration.
I have created source to target mappings from Staging to Integration.
I need to branch both the Staging and Integration models for a new project.
There are modifications to mappings I need to create in my Branched Integration to source from the Branched Staging model. I try to open up an existing mapping, but since it is sourced from the Original Staging model, I cannot add more fields because PD prompts me to open up that model.
Does this mean I have to add my Branched Staging Model as a new source? And maintain 2 sets of mappings?
When I eventually merge my Branched Staging to Main and do have the columns in the existing mapping, does that mean I'd have to manually add in the new mappings that way?
How do I resolve this?
