upgrade Oracle Patch 10.2.0.4.0 and Instant Client instantclient_10204_V1

Presently we have Oracle Database Release 10.2.0.2.0 and Instant Client is instantclient_10202.

We would like to upgrade Oracle Patch 10.2.0.4.0 and Instant Client instantclient_10204_V1.

I would like to know your suggestion, prequations to be taken and feedback.

- take a backup (database + binaries)

- install the patchset 10.2.0.4 according to the README

- install all interim patches (see below)

- read the following notes:

871735 - Current patch set for Oracle 10.2.0

1137346 - Oracle Database 10g: Patches for Release 10.2.0.4

830576 - Parameter recommendations for Oracle 10g

Hi Vijay,

I need to do the same process, we are currently on Oracle 10.0.2.0 and need to upgrade to 10.2.0.4 , can you please walk me through the steps as your experience.

Where can I find the 10.2.0.4 and how can I do the upgrade?

on the note 1137346, I see the steps before and after the upgrade.
