Material type Additionals to ROH

Dear SAP Friends,

I was create one Raw material with Material type Additionals.

But I want to change the material type to ROH.

By using T-code MMAM (Change Material Type),it shows me the following error

The material type cannot be changed.

The reasons for this are:

The old and new material types have different material type IDs.

ID of new material type:

No material type ID

ID of old material type:

Additionals.

So how can we change the Material Type?

There is no Purchase order & stock of the material .

Please Guide.

Chandra,

I would suggest to give a try to the following,

In transaction OMS2, see that for both the material types you assign the same material type referance "Field referance" and "Spl. Material type" fields and then try.

Hope you are doing some tests in sandbox.

hi chandra

i tried myself it is working.

go to oms2 double click the material type VKHM additionals.

at the bottom u can see material type id. scroll down and click on general material type and save it.

once u have done that u will be able to change the material type from additionals to roh

check it

hello,

check whether any stock is there for the material. empty the stock by movement type 562.

make sure there are no transactions for that material.

this will surely work
