hello
i do have some trouble connecting SYBASE ASA acting as web service and my report.
it work fine with CRXI and i get error 411 on CRXIR2
when sniffing trame on network it seem that in HTTP layer the content-length is not generated by CRXI ...
in conclusion HELP ......

to investigate this issue we would need more info.
Can you give please more details about the error, maybe the full error message.
Also, what database are you using. What is your patchlevel ?
Do you get the error already in the CR Designer ? Have you applied Service Packs ?

i get the problem the same way when i open an CRXI report as i create a brand new one in CRXIR2

first of all i apologize for the information that miss
i am using CRXIR2 (the probleme is the same with SP2,SP3,SP4)
i am using sybase (ASA 9.02) acting as web service provider
the error message i get in CRXIR2 is the soap error 411
( MissingContentLength:You must provide the Content-Length HTTP header.411 Length Required)
as i trap (with la sniffer) datagramme i obtaint
POST /gerep1/bdrep_wsdl HTTP/1.1.
.Content-Type:text/xml; charset=utf-8.
.SOAPAction: "http://192.168.29.15:8080/gerep1/liste_air_id_poluant".
.User-Agent: Axis/1.3..Accept-Encoding: gzip.
.Content-Encoding: gzip.
.Host: 192.168.29.15:8080.
.Transfer-Encoding:chunked....
and the Content-lenght is missing !!!
as i test with CRXI it work fine but i have to use a J2E sun java machine

If you have created the report in CR XI and now opening it CR XIR2 and getting this error?
Are you running the report from the Crystal Reports Designer Stand Alone Application or some where else. Please let us know the details.
