Routine in InfoPackage External Data Tab

Hi Experts,

Can any one plz clarify my doubt, what is the purpose of routine in InfoPackage External Data Tab. Is this routine to maintain the fixed path of the file or can we use this routine to populate the screen at run time to select the file.

Plz help me in this regards

Hi,

if you jump into that routine you will come to a form 'compute_flat_file_filename'. And here you can make your filename somewhat dynamic. Of course you can call a dialog to select a path, but remember, in case the ip is included in a chain it will produce a dump then. So basically just use it for having the filename dynamic as with the system-id in it or the date or something like that.
