Dear Friends,
An employee should be paid only 50% of Basic pay when he is facing enquiry...
How to configure this ?
Thanks in advance
Regards
Hi Manjunath,
I think you can copy the IT0008 and change the capacity utilization level to 50% insted of changing the components amount in IT0008.
When ever that enquiry gets over u can change the capacity utilization level to 100%.

Hi Manjunath,
Your case: He is working for 15 days i.e., 50% (ex: March)
But by next month he is going to work for 100% ( April - 30 days). If you change is capacity utilization level , then you should change it by next payroll run.
So it is better to give 15 days absense instead of changing anything. However your case is not for many employees. It would be for 5 employees max in a month. So marking absence for 15 days will not be a problem. Have a special Kind of Absence as "Suspension from Work".

Make a suspension leave which will be paid 50%. Do the absence valuation as half day paid leave.

Hi Manju,
How do you decide if the EE i having some kind of case or legal proceeding and need to pay him half of the salary?
I am not quite aware about Indian payroll but if you are maintaining any Infotype for this then you put a check in schema stating if IT exists in this particular period of time then divide it by 2.
I hope this helps.

I don't have idea about indian payroll..but in case of US payroll i.e,, INdirect evaluation. we can do this in ANSAL....there generally we give 100% for all wagetypes..in this case we have to give 50%....we find this node in spro -> pm -> pa -> payroll data -> basic pay-> adn this node will under the valuation of wage types nodes..
wagetype wt text start date enddate percentge
1234 basic pay 01011900 3112999 50
Above shown example...try this and let me know if it dosent work...

Hi,
If I make indirect valuation by 50%, then it will affect for other employees also. Moreover, there are many wage types in 0008.
I need to reduce the salary by 50% to only few employees, may be 1 or 2.
The other way is , by reducing all the salary component in 0008 by 50% for that particular period.
But I dont want to change 0008. Is there any other solution.

In the HCM forum, and/or with a lawyer.
Your thread will be moved to a more appropriate forum - we don't want the ABAPers getting all nervous

Dear Mr.Julius,

This is a real time scenerio.
In India, if an employee is facing some internal enquiry, he will be kept under suspension. He will be paid only 50% of his basic salary until the enquiry get over. If it is proved he is not guilty, full salary is paid with retrospective effect.
Since I did not know how to configure, I posted this question to ERP HCM Forum.
If you know the answer/ want to help somebody, you answer or else better keep quite.

Hi,
This thread was originally posted to the ABAP forums, but as it is config - I arranged for it to be moved here to HCM (hence the comment about moving, to inform you that it had moved).
I will confess that I was not aware of such legislation and could at the time not have imagined such a thing, so I assumed that it was a company policy...

I'll rather take the "keep quiet" option, thank you.
Cheers,
Julius
