Need a new .ear of Business Objects XI R2 SP4 for OC4J

We have some problems with our BOXI installation, so the BO partner that installed our system told us that we should update the software with the last service pack.

I have downloaded BusinessObjects XI Release 2 - Service Pack (SP) 4.

I have executed it in the server where we have BO, and the update was executed without errors.

But the version of the web applications we are executing is still the same (and our problems persist):

Our J2EE Aplication server is an Oracle OC4J. We have several EARS running: webcompadapter.ear, desktop.ear, jspadmin.ear... They are in C:\java\oc4j\j2ee\home\applications

The date of these EARS is old (June 2007), so I know that they have not been updated with the SP4 installation (June 2008).

Investigating in the machine, I have seen that some new .war files (webcompadapter.war, desktop.war, jspadmin.war, ...) came in the SP4. They are stored in C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\java\applications. But no new EARS.

In short, my problem follows:

I think I should replace the old EARS with new ones. How can I get the updated EARS to complete the SP4 update?

    Hello Jorge,

Instructions for deploying BusinessObjects Enterprise war files are described in the BusinessObjects Enterprise Installation Guide [here|] for XI Release 2.

It's been a while, but I think deploying war files to Oracle wraps them in ear files.

Thanks so much Ted. It was that easy.

I have just redeployed all the available new wars in SP4.

I´m very used to directly manage files and completely ignored that the wars could be deployed using tools.

Falk, I´m new here. I´ll consider the forum you suggest next time. Thank you too.
