Hi Experts,

I am working on a make to order scenario.

PROBLEM

After running MRP the scheduling dates appearing does not consider the data in the routing. ie the standard parameter value entered in routing is not consider for scheduling.

WHAT I HAVE DONE

1. I have entered standard scheduling formula in the workcenter

2. created the sceduling profile, production scheduler in IMG and assigned it to material

3. created scheduling parameter for planned order with order type KD in IMG

4. I have ticked on the sales order/ WBS in explosion control

5. i have enterde MRP type PD and Planning stratergy as 20 in MM01

6. Scheduling type is backward scheduling

7. While running MRP Planning mode in "2" and scheduling is "2"

Where am i going wrong.

Samarth

Hi,

In OMIW un-check the SO/WBS BOM. Entry in this field is not required if you plan with Planning Strategy 20 and if there is no WBS involed.

Whether the routing data maintained is appropritate?

Plan for more quantity you may get the diffrenece after planning..

hi Siva kumar,

Thank you for responding. Routing data maintained is correct. even in Capacity evaluation it is showing pegged req as zero. is It somethig related to MTO scenario since Sales order is taken as req.

Hi,

Are you looking in planned order or production order?

Please check the setting of OPU5 and OPU3 it should mark for the scheduling and cpacity requirement.

Hi,

Please convert this order into production order and check whether it takes value from routing or not?

Hi Brahmankar,

In production order also it is not taking routing data for scheduling. in actual calculation as entered in routing it req 5 days for operation to finish. But here it is taking just 1 day. and in operation overview for each standard parameter it is showing the same start and fifish day.

Dear,

It means there is problem with your standard value key and work center formula. Please check it??

And you can test the formula in workcenter it self, go to CR02 scheduling tab-extra-- formula--test??

Hi Brahmankar,

i understand what you are saying. i checked the formula calclator in work center, it is calculating correctly. that means there should be some other problem. Help me on this regard.

Hi,

Please check your Control key in work center? Which should have tick mark for scheduling active. if not then you can make it active in OP00.

Hope it will solve your problem.

hi Brahmankar,

I have activated the scheduling indicator in op00. I have created this control key in OP00, when i use this control key scheduling does not take place. but when i use the standard control key PP01 scheduling occurs. What might be reson since i have created the key by copying it from PP01

Hi,

I think your peroblem has been solved.

Control key is nothing but a key that specifies how an operation or a sub-operation is processed in functions such as orders, costing or capacity planning.

The following are examples of processing types managed by a control key for operations and sub-operations:

External processing

Completion confirmation

Printing

Scheduling

Costing.

To check for which control key like PP01,PP03 what indicators has been included goto to T Code OPJ8,Just double click on each control key and you can find for that control key what indicators has been choosen.

If useful rewards suitable points

Hi Brahmankar,

I have got one more enquiry. all the indicators active in control key PP01 (in house prod) is active in the control key that i have created. then what might be the reson that when i put my control key schedulin does not take place where as scheduling occurs when i put PP01.

Hi Samarth,

Please check

Order types define the routing selection OPL8 that selected routing must having your control key with scheduling active.

OPU3- Define Scheduling parameters for Production order?

In material master have u assigned a production scheduling profile for the corresponding order type?

Hi,

Check the scheduling dates by increasing your requirement or routing time.

For MTO scenario, create demand by sales order, not by MD61.

Do the following settings in OPU5, select your plant & scheduler (*).

In this select Adjust scheduling - Adjust basic dates dependent req to Opn dates.

Now rerun MRP by Delete & recreate mode with Lead time scheduling. Check the result.

Hi Dharma,

I have done all that you have suggested before. But the problem is for scheduling it is not taking the data from routing.
