Hello gurus,

a few days ago I have found the "new" transaction CG3Y. This is so amazing

Now my question:

Is it possible to limit this TR??? I want to have only access to 1 or 2 folders.

Thanks in advance

Christian

Hi,

The file would be created in the directory which is nothing but your application directory specified in the XML port using the transaction AL11, for file download use transaction CG3Y.

Thanks

Hi!

I think you can restrict the access to the folders on the server only at operating system (unix) level.

it is mainly used by BASIS , and i don't think you will have access to all the folders.

you can reach your basis to know more about this .

Hi Christian,

Consider this ALE scenario, "Conversion of the IDOC to XML format and store the same in the application server of SAP".

In such a case, an XML file would be generated in the directory specified in the XML port created(which is used in the partner profile). Using the transaction CG3Y, the generated file could be downloaded onto the front-end system. This is one use of the transaction CG3Y.
