Screen personas 3.0 SP04: How to align many flavors of an app on multiple develop systems

Hi,

I have a big Screen Personas 3.0 app consisting of 30 flavors related to 25 transactions. It requires certain master data on the system in order to accesss some flavors. We have two development systems, GD1 and GD4 for different release timelines. From time to time, we need to have the app developed on GD1 or GD4. I have transported the flavors between the two systems before, but experienced a lot problems. I nocticed that the transported flavors cannot be overwritten by "flavor import" and sometimes the transported flavors are un-editable. In addition, transporting flavors are not 100% safe - it can miss some objects such as images and icons. After transport, it is a headache task to check through the falvors to see if all objects are transported correctly.

Is there any BETTER way to do such alignment of flavors on multiple develop systems? A SW version control tool for Personas apps would be nice. Thx. Br, /Dong Zhu

With the exception of Roles all Personas object can be exported to a file and imported into other systems. Go to /PERSONAS/ADMIN and select the Transport button. Select the options for the object to export, then execute. Select the Transport All button. Now select the Export button to save out to a file.

To import the file return to /PERSONAS/ADMIN and select the import button.

(If you have transported flavors or other resources in the import system then these will need to be removed first.)
