Calculate loginname after user did self registration process

Hi experts,

is it or will it be possible to defina a loginname for self-registrated users within SAP Identity Provider?

Example:

A new user is registrated succesfully with email max.mustermann@example.com, firstname Max and lastname Mustermann.

Now I want to be able to set the loginname automatically by joining some existing fields and freetext. So I would decide, that the loginname should be FIRSTNAME-LASTNAME -> "max-mustermann". Another requirement could be so set loginname to "mustermannm" which would be LASTNAME and first letter of FIRSTNAME.

Why would I do that?

Self-Registration Process would be much more admin friendly and for new users a loginname must not be set manually.

Thanks

    Hi Mario,

Yes the login name can be created automatically in the format you require.

At the time of creating user in SAP Idm, Create an UI task, and submit details like first name, last name, email etc., and then link a task to create to that UI task to create an loginname automatically using a script.

    • Hi DP,

      thanks for your answer!

I searched for UI task in our SAP Cloud Identity Administration, but nothing found. I think it is not the same SAP IdM and SAP Cloud Identity Provider, right?

Could you please be a bit more specific, how to configure it there?

      Thanks and best regards

    Hi Mario,

Yes, you would need a tool like IDM to create the field, or provide the information in some other part of your incoming infomration about Max to provide the login name.
