Can I use sapscript in ERP 6 (ECC 6 ) system.

Hi all,

I have sapscripts and driver programs in 4.7 SAP system.

I need to copy those scripts into ERP 6 system but in the form of smartforms. The sapscript and the driver programs are very huge and if i need to convert to smartforms, i need to do a lot of changes in the driver program ( it is a standard program ) like removing the OPEN_FORM WRITE_FORM etc and adding smartform function modules.. etc and also need to create structures, styles, paragraph and character formats etc etc in the smartforms. I have a very less time and i have more sapscripts to be converted like that. After analysis, i found out that converting to smartforms would take more time.

So, I am planning to copy the sapscript from 4.7 to sapscript in ECC 6. Is it good creating sapscript in ECC 6 system. As we smartform is advanced to it and still ADOBE forms are available in ERP 6 system.

Hi!

You might give a shot to Sapscript-smartform integration... Check out this link...

You can copy the programs and the SAPScripts from 4.7 to ECC6, but the code is very old so it might not know all functionalities and fields, what ECC6 has.

It could work also, but might have some corrections.

I did not got a task like that (fortunately ) so it's your choce which way will you pick.

I guess, it doesn't show much impact, you can still use SAPscripts in ECC, it mostly depends on your comfort level.

It doesn't show any effect using scripts in ECC.

you can use Scripts, There are many scripts which are in use in ECC6.0
