Subcontracting location

Hi

Is the subcontracting location a different storage location? Why no code is assigned to that location?

In Subcontracting SC Stock can be treated as Special Stock O and exist in the Same Storage Locn with Material / Stck provided to Vendor.

Since when you make goods receipt against Subcontracting order the components provided to vendor will be consumed automatically and No need to Create Seperate Storage Location for this.

there is no such location in sap

it will be aginst ur vendor stock

it means that u have issued the stock to ur vendor

so just for ur ref from where and how much u have issued u can seee the entries in MMBE or me2o

Hii,

Normally when you are issuing the stock to the Subcontractor, it will be treated as vendor stock with special stock "O".

So it will be in the Same storage location but it will be against the Special Stock "O".

Hi,

Subcontracting stock is treated as a Special Stock in SAP. when you sent out some mat to your SC vendor it will be shown in Stock provided to vendor.No need to create seperate location for that.
