Hi All,

I have configured the LDAP to AD Server. Now I want to change back to UME database only again due to some problem. Is it possible to revert back.

IF anyone have done, please give me the steps to be followed.

Yes its possible to change back to UME database. Use Config Tool Which is located in the following directory.

/usr/sap/<SID>/JC00/j2ee/configtool/

In the LHS select UME LDAP data and select the XML file for dataSourceConfiguration_database_only.xml

Hi,

Thanks for your quick reply.

I am not able to find the dataSourceConfiguration_database_only.xml in the list.

I tried to upload the file through browse, even then I am not able to find the file.

How to make the file available in dropdown list.

Hi Ponnusamy,

Go to Config tool -> Global server configuration -> services -> com.sap.security.core.ume.service

Change the value of ume.persistence.data_source_configuration to dataSourceConfiguration_database_only.xml.

As I remember, in EP6, it was not possible to revert UME to point to DB once its configured to point to AD. However the reverse was true and that's why it was recommended to have the UME point to DB during installation so that you can later point it to AD.

Did this change with EP7?

Thanks,

Kiran
