How to change Tax Number Field Properties in MDG customer UIBB

In OY17, we can restrict the length of tax number based on country. This is work in GUI and stop user if he enter more than that. But, in MDG UIBB it is allowing 20 characters. Is it possible to change field properties of list UIBB at run time?
