But do not know what is the version and when login through http://server:51000/irj. Trying to click on the portal content, If shows me the error in the bottom left of IE, and when double click on the error, give " Access Denied".
Can someone pls guide me through the fundas of EP?

Hi PD,
For your "access denied"..you are missing certain role (I believe that you are missing roles for either Content Administrator or Content Manager).
.
Checkout
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/43/23dbeccb0e0d24e10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm
http://help.sap.com/search/highlightContent.jsp
To checkout your Portal version, use http://server:51000/index.html. Then click on system information. There you will be able to get the version of the Portal you are running on and also the SP level.
Hope that helps.

Hi Prashant,
Firstly, a very warm welcome to the world of Portal
Well, to begin with I assume that you are able to logon to the portal.
In the portal content, if you see something that says "Access Denied" it is a permissions issue.Which roles are assigned to the user that you are logged on with?
As soon as you log on, do you find a user administration role assigned?
If you do you can assign the user the super administrator role and resolve the issue.
If you do not find this role, right click on the portal content, open permissions and give "end user" permissions to the PCD and you are good to go.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Sandeep Tudumu
