Import Manager Map Fields Problem

Hi

I am following the this pdf

In page 13 as in the PDF, there should be 3 Material Description for 3 languages, but i am getting only one material description for english , i am not getting Material Description for german and Russian.

Hi Manian,

there should be 3 Material Description for 3 languages, but i am getting only one material description for english , i am not getting Material Description for german and Russian.

The languages are not visible in the destination side which makes it apparent that those languages needs to be selected in your repository unless that is done you will not be able to see the Fields selected in the respective languages.

Also note to make the desired Field which will carry the multilingual text as Multilingual YES in the properties of that Field.

- For this to happen as desired you need to do some prior setting sin MDM console

- Go to the server level->Select the Repository you are working on->Languages->

- Here from the drp down select the langauages tyou wish the data toa ppear in

- You will be able to see the languages you have selected

- The languages will appear as priamry and secondary based on the order you have selected them.

I have done the Joins and Pivoting as mentioned in the PDF. I have followed and done what was mentioned in the PDF

Hi Manian,

did you activate the multilingual field option? Check in menu Configuration > Options > Expand multilingual text fields > As Multiple Fields.

This depends upon the Source you are trying to import. The source which must be imported in the Pdf must be having the Material description in 3 languages - English, german and France.

Your source should have these 3 languages and that too in the proper format,i.e The Material Description should be present in 3 language for a single Material, so that you can get the 3 fields for Mapping.

Also is you have the source in the correct format, you will have to use Joins and Pivoting in your case.
