Hi Experts,

I have make to order scenario. i have created sales order. using this sales order i have cerated order BOM and routing. It has two levels of BOM. Now when i did the MRP run using MD50. it is showing only the final item and not the child item in MD04.

What might be possible cause for this

Hi rao

If the message is 52 No BOM selected. There may be few reason.

1) in Plan order it self you can see BOM is selected or not

2) Validity of the BOM date. If should valid on MRP explosion date.

3) Check have assigned any MRP group in material master. Some times this will misbehave MRP run.

3) See have assigned any fixed explosion date.

4) Is there any alternate BOM assgined for the same header material.

5) Check in MRP 4 Dependent requirement allowed not not.

6) Check the MRP type is ND.

7) Any phantom assembly is assigned for header material.

Please check and come back.

Hi samrth rao,

Just see the change by changing the selection method in MRP4.

While running MRP give PLanning mode reexplode BOM and routing.

Hi Samarth,

run MRP by MD02/Md50 than check....Md04 and than Put dependent material in header level in MD04 and check whether

that material is planned or not. run MRP by MD02.

check status of the header material BOM.

BOM should be active, means MRP relevant.

and again for the component,

check weather in BOM of header, prod relevant indicator is ticked or not for that component.

MRP type of the comonent, weather its maitined or not.

what is usage of ur BOM??

weather that usage is maintained in the OS31, BOM slection ID which is attached to your MRP plant parameters settings in custmisations.

hope after this check ur issue will be identified.

Hi experts,

As per your instructions i have checked all the parameters. the BOM usage is maintained, BOM status is also maintained. in MD04 in exeption message it is showing as 52 ( no BOM selected). How do i proceed further.

check the bom usage , validity dates, Lot size , see what selection method you have used in material master MRP 4. See what BOM & routing selection ID's you have maintained in the plant parameters. See in plant parameters in BOM explosion whether SO/WBS BOM indicator is set. If you have maintained MRP group , see the settings in OPPR.

Hi Samarth,

MD50 plan at sales order level only, it will not plan the dependent requirement for that you need to run MRP again in MD02 or MD41. After that you will child item in MD04.

Thank you for responding. asper your instructions, i first did MD50 then i did MD02 but in stock req list it is showing only final material. What might be the reson for this

Hi,

In MD04 you will get the dependent requirement also just double click on order it will take you to drill down.

Or you can get the peg requirement directly in MD04--just put cursor ob order and at bottom of md04 screen you will get option for peg requirement click on it.

May be you have not understood me, i know how to get the report. but the problem is the overview tree is not showing the child item. Please guide me on this.

Hi,

Please check planning file entry in MD21? MRP type and also check MRP dependent requirement indicator in MRP4 view of material master.

what is Validity start date of BOM?

Is your BOM usage is relevent for production ?

BOM status is active? Check the setting in OS21,22,23?

Please run MRP again in MD41 and come back?
