SAP BW on ECC 6.0

Hi,

Is that possible to activate the BW in a SAP ECC 6.0 with all SAP_BW Support Packages?

I kwon that i have to user transaction RSA1 in client 001 but my problem is how to use this transaction.

Does any one have a document that i can follow.

on ECC6.0 u can install BI_CONT add-on with required SP's..so it mean u r using ECC system as BW system. But i never seen such combination anywhere. If it is on training server or ur personal PC..u can play around.

What do u mean by..how can i use RSA1?

in help.sap.com search for docs on BW.

The transaction RSA1 someone told me that i have to use to make the bw configuration.

the RSA1 is not required to configure BW server.

RSA1 is required for Modeling - DW Workbench. BI_cont object will be in delivered version that need to convert in active version in RSA1 but usually this will be done by BI developer team.

As part of configuration we need to use SPRO T-code..for BI cockpit, to set Bex anlyser version etc...

Can you tell me if i can apply this BI_CONT_703 in my ECC 6.0 SR2 i tried but gives me an error.

Can you tell me what should i do first?

1st update your SPAM/SAINT patch..i guess latest is 29.

Then go to SAINT and apply add-on BI CONT 703 and then go in SPAM and apply the BI_CONT patches.

What kind of error you are getting?

Hi,

From my understanding, you can use the BI component in ECC

But general scenario is people use NW2004 or NW2004s for BW Implementations
