what is mrp controller? what is its significance? how this scenario will work

Its entered in the MRP data in the MMR...

It controls all the look up(regarding MRP) ...or can say look after all the parameters for the generation of the MRP docs..related to PO's PR's etc...

It has all the authority to convert all the elemnts into further docs...

This role contains central functions in MRP for external procurement that are connected with particular responsibility. You can use these functions to control MRP from a higher level.

EXAMPLE :In Customizing for MRP, you can maintain a mail link to inform an MRP controller of the fact that a goods receipt has been posted for a missing part.

Hi Ramamoorthy,

MRP is Material Requirement Planning Concept for Fullfilling requiremnets in scientific & logical,way at required time as per industry requirements.

After a normal MRP run, you check the stock/requirements situation for the planned materials, make necessary changes and save the availability of the materials for the next days.

Out of few MRP Parameters MRP Contoller is one of the parameter which is helpful in addition to MRP Run it ia also helpful for different reports, mail,Autorisation,Approval concepts functionlity of SAP.

Hi,

MRP controller is the person who is responsible for material requirement planning. He does the whole planning for the material. So Its mandatory to assign a MRP controller for the material used for material requirement planning.

You can run MRP run MRP controller wise also in MD01 - MRP Run

There you will get User Exit option, you can use following user exit.

LMDZU001 - User exits in additional plannin
