catalog error

Hello guys

1.For some reason Master catalog was deleted and renamed to have a new catalog and Initialize program run but the following error encountered

"Error when reading catalogs; error when reading master catalog** "

Can some one assist to resolve the issue.

2. In two clients there are two different Master catalogs. We moved one Master catalog from source to target . we see non compatibility and error. Can you please advise in this scenario

which catalog will be Master( meaning whether source or target one)

Hi Prasad,

Firstly - there can only be 1 Master Catalog in your system, doing something like renaming the Master catalog in your system from /CCM/MASTER_CATALOG to something like NEW_MASTER will not leave you with 2 Masters but will transform the old master into a regular procurement catalog.

It is NEVER advisable to do this however as it affects the consistency of the CCM system and can lead to serious issues internally.

I would suggest at the moment that you delete both these 'Masters' and re-enter the Catalog CDC (Edit Catalogs) which will regenerate the new Master. It is NOT necessary to run report /CCM/INITIALISE_CME, actually it is far more harmful to do so, this report should ONLY be run ONCE!

For your second point, I have no idea what you are saying? CAn you please be clearer with the scenario and problem you see?
