editing documents locally with Apache Reverse Proxy

Hi,

if I want to edit a document locally it works fine if I am in our domain. If I try this from outside I get the message "The download of the document failed".

We have an apache reverse proxy before the portal.

Does anyone has a clue how to fix this ?

Hi Flo,

I think the reason could be the URL Generator Service under "Global Services".

The entry "Host" is used for generating url´s. I think in your case you have your internal adress in this field, but this adress is not callable from outside over the proxy, so the download fails.

If this is the case and you have installed HTTP Watch you can see the call that fails.

Solution would be to set the "Host" attribute to the adress you use when you call your portal over reverse proxy (if you also can call it from inside, but i think so)
