Hi,

You have create dummy work centers and use in multiple opeartions (same numbers) in routings.

Try with this T codes.

KS01,KS02 - Create & Change Cost centre Respectively.

KL01,KL02 - Create & Change Activity Type.

KP26 - Activity Output/Prices.

In CR01 while creating a work centre, you will be assigning a cost centre and activity types defined & valid for that cost centre.

hello

pl explain me in detail .... i creat a new i.e dummy work center for operation(30) painting and then assign a painting material to phase 40. {as 10 operation is edging,curling.... and BOM components used for that operation are assign to phase 20.} Now in dummy work center ,cost center should same as previous work center? is dummy WC means no activity or i have to assingn activity also.if yes !! how and what activity shoud be assigned? also control key should be same as WC for previous WC?

Hi,

You can create a dummy work center and assign to the same operation. This is the only way i think you can do it, Suppose it will be like this,

Operation 0030 Workcenter1

Operation 0030 Woekcenter2

then you can use same cost center, If you want to do costing then use the activity that you want to cost.

Pls refer this also,

You can create new operation say 0030 and define a phase 0040.

You can use the same work center in the previous operation step "0010", if the resources and machines are same. In your case, you can use the same. So all the activities and cost would flow as defined in the previous step. If you would like to change the cost rates, then new work center should be created.

The control key can be same as the previous one.

You should also fill the scheduling data in the receipe. This would be there in the same row, move to the right to see the scheduling data.

Thanks,

hello

I've done as U said.created operation 0030 and phase 0040.now... yes resources and machine are same so i used same work center as in the previous operation.

now let me know from costing point of view. i maintained one activity type i.e. processing type incosting view of WC.now the cycle time of machine(same) is say 60 min(including painting) now this time is maintain for 2 times as WC is assign in both the operations.so how it will cost accurately for activity.

U said "_So all the activities and cost would flow as defined in the previous step_" what this exactly mean.

pl reply

thanks and regards

Hi

Using dummy w/c is ok. It is required in many scenerios. In your case too you can use. The cost center should be same as the cost center assigned to the main wc.
