SUM error SUBMOD_DIFFEXP/DIFFEXPTABU_IPL, objects have no active version

Former Member

Hi,

I am upgrading BW system from NW 7.30 to NW 7.5 SP 5. last release. During the process, SUM issues an error in phase "SUBMOD_DIFFEXP/DIFFEXPTABU_IPL" and says that the following objects are not activated.

2EETW190 "VIET" "/POSDW/LPA_VEXDT " has no active version.

2EETW190 "VIET" "/POSDW/V_GPAGP " has no active version.

2EETW190 "VIET" "/POSDW/V_GPAVN " has no active version.

These objects are not available in the system which I m upgrading it now.

However, when I checked for these objects on another customer system, I found that these objects are related to BI_CONT component with package "/POSDW/CUSTOMIZING". I think that SUM will not proceed ahead without these objects. I m using SUM 1.0 PL 18. I also already tried with latest version of R3trans. Does anyone have the similar issue during an upgrade? I searched some OSS notes and forums, but I couldn't have enough information to solve this issue. Could you please help me in this?

Thanks and best regards,

Ganesan

There have been numerous patches to SUM SP18 since this post was asked and answered last October. As of yesterday, SUM sp18 was up to patch level 9. So, I suggest you try with that.

Oliver and Valery,

In that case, I strongly recommend opening Customer Incidents with SAP Product Support, as they are probably thinking this has been fixed. Also, as you say, SUM sp17 isn't available any longer, so going through them is likely the only way to get it.

I do notice that pl10 for sp18 is now available. I'm not sure whether it addresses this issue, but the patch notes are at https://websmp205.sap-ag.de/~form/handler?_APP=00200682500000001043&_EVENT=INFO&INFONR=0020079747000.... It might be worth trying that.

Cheers,
Matt

Hi Andreas,

I am also running into this same issue as and I am running SP18 PL09 as well. I opened message

69754 / 2017 for this issue. I'm going to try this using SUM SP19 to see if I run into the same issue. Will comment back if the new SP fixes the issue.

Hi Andreas,

Thank you for the response, I referenced this thread in the message. I also asked if they can make SP17 available for the time being so we can continue with the update until they fix this in the next PL.

I also tested SUM SP19 PL0, and it errors at the same point, so it doesn't look like the fix has been addressed yet.

Thank you

Hi Jason,

I do not think that SP17 will be made available again.
SP19 does not have the fix, yet.

Andreas

We have opened ticket: 90744 / 2017 SUM10SP19 Upgrade issue: "VIET" "/POSDW/LPA_VEXDT " has no active version in phase : MAIN_SHDRUN/SUBMOD_DIFFEXP/DIFFEXPT and have opened the system connection and have maintained the a user for support. I rang SAP Support and asked them to expedite assignment of the ticket to a processor. It seems there may be other customers having similar issues with SUM10SP18/19: https://answers.sap.com/questions/126142/submod-diffexpdiffexptabu-ipl.html

@Sunil: The incident has been forwarded to SAP development.
@Ray: In case you need urgent help just let the processor know and they should forward it to me. Ensure that the system connection is open

Hi,

The issue is with SUM latest version SUM1.0 SP 18, may be, it seems to be a bug. I raised an OSS message and SAP has suggested me to switch back to SUM 1.0 SP 17, There were no such errors with the version of SUM1.0 SP 17.

Ganesan
