    Hi,

    Welcome to SDN.

Just need some clarification. For multiple links you want to open the same window, right? Is it a external window or a WD popup window?

Please go through the link below for the tutorial:

    /docs/DOC-8061#23

    thanks & regards,

    Manoj

    • Hi,

yes, it is very much possible...

If you are using a new window to open as a pop-up, then create a context attribute in component controller and map that element between both windows(menas views). So that this variable is available for both views.

So user can access what ever value was given to this variable from pop-up window....

      Say for example...

u create a context attribute and set its value in onclick on of the link URL, and get the same value in the pop-up window.

      Regards,

      Srinivas.

    hi Srinivas,

    I have

    label names

    1.company code,

    2.Area

    3.Empgroup,.....like this

label as companycode, dropdown field for getting that company code, and Edit link is there. This edit link is to display the popup window.it contains Existing company code as label and its value in dropdown field, and i have another field also. i.e proposed company code as label with dropdown value.

like this am having some 10 labels with dropdown field.the name for label is different for all these 10 labels. I have to display the popup window for all these labels, and have to display the Existing (no.2 label)Area and proposed (no.2 label)Area.. like this in one popupwindow will change dynamically.now it is possible in one popup?

      Hi Kiruba,

It is possible in one pop up window.

As suggested in previous answer you need to maintain a context element which is common in both the master view and the pop up window view. Say the context element is OPTION.

Now you can create 3 seperate groups for each of the label i.e. company code, area, empgroup.

Create the desired UI elements in each of the group.

Now the visibility of these groups will be dependent on the value of OPTION which you will set in master view.

In your master view, set value of OPTION as "comp" on the action of company code link and call the pop up window.

When value of OPTION is "comp" in pop up window, only company code group is visible.

In this way you will call same pop up window every time and depending on value of OPTION only desired group will be visible.

For more reusebility, you can also create only one group and depending on the value of OPTION you can also dynamically bind the text of label and values in dropdown.
