Read mail xlxs attachment if it is present or just read the body of the mail

Hi Experts,

I have a situation , wherein, the sender mail adapter is suppose to read the content of the mail it picks and call a function module in ECC.This is fine and is working too.But a new requirement has come up to even accomodate an excel file and now when the mail contains excel file PI has to read content of excel and call FM or it mail does not contain attachment then just read the body and call FM.

Any idea how this could be achived.?
