Hello Everyone-
I am in the process of setting up Asset Accounting module for one of our subsidiaries in Mexico. We have only one user down there and even he is new to SAP. I am looking to see if anyone can give me some information on setting up chart of depreciation for Mexico company. Local currency is MXN, and we also maintain a group currency EUR and Hard Currency USD.
What would be the depreciation areas I need to consider. I assume we would also need to consider an area for inflation.
Kindly let me know if any one has any ideas.
Thanks,
RNarayan
Hi Ram
There are 2 sample charts of depreciation for Mexico in SAP. Maybe that can help you!

Hi Kavitha-
Thanks for your prompt reply. But, how would I know which depreciation areas to choose from sample COD? I can see only one sample chart of depreciation and that is 1MX. Based on what criteria do we actually decide which depreciation area to choose? I have two currencies apart from my local currency, so I understand i need to set up parallel currency. Because of iflation, I would have to choose a depreciation area for that. In this way, how would I come to a final COD? Any ideas?
Thanks in Advance!!!
