If you attach a document at the sales quotation stage.

Is it possible to automatically have the same attachment on all sales documents that get generated from that quote? eg Sales Order/Sales delivery/Sales invoice.

Hi Eoin,

This was something I struggled about when a customer would like to have a file (saved on their SharePoint) attached along the sales process. As a result, users from different departments/groups would just click the link to open the file related to the deal.

This may not be the perfect solution but worth sharing - we used a "Link" type UDF, so the url pointing to SharePoint would be copied from one document to another.

The limitation was that this would be good for one attachment stored on a networked place. If in your case there are more attachments (and it's difficult for user to merge them to one) or the files are saved in some local machines; this may not be a good fit.

Thank you Jimmy, Yes I think that could work. I'll need to see with the client if it will always be just one document they need to reference but great suggestion. Many Thanks, Eoin.
