issues relating creation of opportunity without sales unit

we need to ran a report on all opportunities without sales unit, in c4c. Is this possible without any issues? If we create an opportunity without sales unit,what will happen?

You can filter all the opportunities with out Sales units by creating an Advanced filter on the Field and define the Value to Initial as below
Sales Unit = is Initial
This will give all the opportunities without sales Units.

If no Sales unit is maintained system will notify with an error : Please enter a party with role Sales Unit.

Sales unit is one the key parties that needs to be determined for the opportunity to process further sales transactions like creation of Quotes and orders , so it is required to maintain

Maintaining a Sales Unit also helps the business in appropriate forecasting of Revenues.

Sales unit can be determined in opportunities with the following options under maintain determination in fine tuning .
1) Accounts sales area
2) Responsibility sales unit sales
3) Functional organizational unit of employee responsible
4) Organizational unit from org model if only one suitable function.
