WBS settllement to Asset

Hi,

I am trying to create the settlement rule for the WBS element with category Asset. While assigning asset under construction (which is created by this WBS element) it is giving the error message "You can not post to asset XXXXX".

Please tell me what may be the cause?

Shall we can assign asset under construction as settlement receiver or not?

I am not from finance background please help me to fix this issue

Hi,

If you are using the investment type of project with the "investment profile" , system creates the asset under construction for the respective WBS.(provided u have done required setting in investment profile)

You need not to mention settlement rule manually to WBS in this case. It will be created automatically.

When you run period end settlement, the settlement rule for WBS to its associated AUC will be written automatically.

You cannot assign AuC asset as settlement reciever
