Message priortization affecting system performance

Hi Folks,

Just wanted to ask if we use message prioritization property in Net weaver, how will my SAP system be affected.

Will system performance be affected due to this?

If yes, then how will it get affected, please explain.

Any other disadvantage of using message prioritization.

I have gone through some of the threads to know more about message prioritization.

I would really appreciate if I can get more to explore on this.

Hi Aishvar,

implemented queue prioritization in PO 7.5. It seems channel is picking up smaller sized file before the priority scenario.

Sometimes it is behaving in expected way i.e scenario with high priority is being executed first but not all the time.

If a high priority queue with bigger message is processed first obviously this will affect other messages depending on memory capacity of the server. Let me know if you got different results with queue prioritization.

Can you please elaborate more on Memory capacity of the server.

How can I check my server's memory capacity.

Any thread that can be of any help?
