Hi specialists,
I experienced that working with the WAD (Web Application Desinger) is quite slow and therefore very inconvenient.
After every activity I've to wait a moment till I can continue. Saving takes a lot of time. It is far away from a developement-envirionment in which one could design a report straight-forward.
Did you experience similar with WAD?
Is the behaviour I experienced a normal one?
Are there any patches that you applied and which released the problem?
Thanks for your input in advance.
thread seams to be dead - so I'm closing.

Hi Marco,
I have the same issue .. working with WAD is inconvenient (take a lot of time). There is 'mystery' in WAD ..
Sometime, we've update in a WAD, but actually still not updated yet. And make sure "web item" screen shows correct screen related to the "layout" screen.
In other case, I did log-out form WAD and log-in again to make sure what I've update is correctly updated ..
Rgds,

Hi Tri,
I see - that's similar to the curiousities I experienced.
Which patch-level are you using - in my case its SP14 for the backend and 18 for the Frontend.
A further unclean behaviours is:
If you assign a webitem to a layout-container (using drag and drop), you cannot select that item at once in the the row/coloumn-dialog. In that case I normaly switch between web-item-view and xhtml-view and back again. Then the inserted web-item becomes available in the column-dialog.
Hi
No doubt working with WAD is quite tuff as this is an heavy application.
But if Internet connectivity is fine, than need to check with Patch on which you are working.
Thanks
Pankaj
