Hello everybody
Up-to-now we created user-defined characteristics with check tables which needs to be filled manually (T25xx). Usually the manually maintaining of the check table is unnecessary work, as there are existing tables which have the key and the text already available.
Does anybody know a way, how we can create user-defined characteristics (no origin, will be done by derivation rules), where we can assign existing SAP tables as check tables?
Best regards
Jean Daniel
Hi Jean,
Transaction KEA5 >Select the operating concern and click Change
>click through the warning about client independent objects >Click
the 'create' button >Select 'user defined' and 'with own value
maintenance' and fill in all necessary details on the subsequent screen->Click on 'assign check table.' At this point you should be able to select manually.
Regards,
Abhisek

Hi Abhisek
Thanks for your answer. I awarded you two points for answering. However at the point which you described it is not possible to enter it's own check table. The validation fields are filled with the table T25* and are greyed out in order that they cannot be changed.
Can you change the check table at this point on your system? I checked several systems (4.5c - ECC 6.0) and on none it was possible to change the checktable.
Thanks for any new ansers.
Jean Daniel
