I receive this error when trying to log into any portion of my Crystal Report XI Server. Can anyone give me an idea of how to resolve it.

Thread Moved to BOE Admin.

Also - if you are getting that error, it usually means that the DLL which is needed for windows NT authentication is missing.

In XI R2, these plugins are usually found in the folder c:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\win32_x86\plugins\auth

Under that folder, there should be 4 sub-folders: secEnterprise, secLDAP, secWinAD, secWindowsNT. And inside each folder there should be a dll (e.g. secWinAD.dll).

If you do not have the proper folder, dll - then your install probably got messed up and you might need to repair install it.

Also - you said you get this error when you try to logon to CR Server - where exactly? The CMC, Infoview, custom code?

Shawn

Have you configured the NT plugin and enabled it? can you go to CMC\authentication\windowsNT and hit update successfully?
