QI lot creation in MIGO for multiple line items of same material

Hi all,

In our business scenario we have a material with inspection type 04 (GR inspection wrt production order). while doing GR using distribute qty option we'll distribute the quantity of the particular material, thereby multiple line items of same material with different batches will be created. Also different inspection lots are generated for each line item of the same material. Requirement is quality person will not inspect all the batches, he'll select any one batch and do the inspection. Hence, we want only one inspection lot to be created during GR of the material. Is there any way to map the scenario. Thanks in advance.

Hi Balamurugan Raja,

according to your description I think you might looking for the lot summary option. There is an indicator called 'Control insLot' for inspection types in the material master QM view under Inspection setup:

This indicator has an influence on lot creation. According to its F1 Help:
"...as a result of goods movements an existing inspection lot is enhanced, and that no new inspection lot is created..."
I recommend to read the help documentation to understand the control function of the field.
