i see in some of the threads it is stated that inbound is not possible in case of quotation, i triggered the outbound using message type 'QUOTES' and basic type 'ORDERS04' with process code 'SD12'. how to proceed in case of inbound.

can someone assist me in creating inbound idoc for quotation.

Arjun

There is a process called "request for quotation". Google finds this old post (among many others) and the top answer seems to answer your question even though OP actually asked something different.

This might create an inquiry instead of quotation directly but it makes sense from the process flow standpoint and probably not that difficult to generate a quotation from inquiry automatically.

Hi Jelena,

i will check that with functional, but the problem is i need to do the change idoc also for quotation in both systems,
is that possible if i proceed as you suggested, please suggest me if there is any work around.

Whenever you add any post to your original query, please do so under "Comment" and not under "Answer", as you were not answering to a query but only providing additional informations as required by the member. Meanwhile, I have converted your above post from Answer to Comment.

When asking a question, please include all the pertinent information in the original post. Otherwise this is very confusing to the SCN members who may try to help or any future readers when the question changes in the middle.

It's not clear what your business process is in this case. SAP does not really support transactional data duplication through the standard IDoc interfaces. They are meant to facilitate the transaction flow. E.g. you have a request for quotation which would create an inquiry (?) in another system. Or a purchase order from another system would trigger a sales order in another system. Things like that.

Since this is turning into a completely different question I'd suggest to close this one, think through what you're asking exactly and then post another question with all the details and business process explanation. There is a good blog on how to post the questions more efficiently.
