Co-product indicator with special procurement key 30 is not allowed

Hi,

I have a co-product production in a subcontracting process and therefore i am trying to set the co-product indicator in the main product's material master with special procurement key 30. However the system throws the following error message :-

Only external procurement is defined for the material Message no. M3827 Diagnosis You have selected the "Co-product" indicator, although only external procurement is defined for the material. However, it only makes sense to identify a material as a co-product if it is produced in-house. Procedure Either allow in-house production for the material or cancel the "Co-product" indicator.

Does this mean co-product is not supported in the subcontracting process?

Isn't the message self-explained. Anyway, the message is about the procurement type itself. It is clearly saying that Co-products are not allowed for external procurement and you are using procurement type as F with Co-product indicator active.

According to the SAP design, CO-PRODUCT is supported in subcontracting process with special procurement key 30.

Hence this setting should be allowed.
