I want to know the WMS is implemented for only Finished m/t are we can do for the Semi-Finished and Raw m/t too...Could u any body tell in which type of scenario, we go for this type of materials..

Most probaly, i want to know whether i proceed with Lean warehouse management for raw materials - stored in Bulk storage...

Cheers..

You can implement WMS for any material you want to. They are just different material types. WM does not differentiate between raw materials, finished goods etc they are just materials.

The difference comes with what you set up like st types, search strategies, placement strategies etc but for WM a material is a material.

If you receive in to a ST Loc that is linked to a warehouse then ALL materials will need to be located in that warehouse. If you do not want to warehouse manage materials then you need to create a seperate st loc that is NOT linked to a warehouse and receipt your raw materioals etc in to there.

I hope that this helps

Dear Frenchy,

In some location our client maintained the Finished material like bulk storage, in that type of case we go for the Lean warehouse mangement imlementation - consider this as Fixed bin storage....Whats ur option in this...

Moreover, if we go for LWM, what are the constraint we take before implenting...

In my experience of Lean WM it is mainly used so that you can pick deliveries but there is no storage in there.

Have a look at this help doc

I hope that this helps
