Next Inspection date in batch master(QA05)

Hi All,

I want to pick up the up the next inspection date from UD.Initially when the GR is created the system is calculating the next inspection date accordingly i.e. Nxt Inspn Date= GR Date+ Inspection Interval(no of days in MM)

Requirement is that when UD= Accepted,

Nxt Inspn Date= UD Date+ Inspection Interval(no of days in MM)

When i do UD accepted system does go to the Next inspection date in batch master,but instead of calculating it is giving date 00.00.0000

(Invalid date "Message No.00064).

Pls tell me what will be the possible errors.Is it due to qa05 program running

What is the value there in the "Inspection Interval" field, for QM view Of Material Master.

Dear Shyamal,

Thanks for responding this is same problem related to my earlier link,the client is running QA05,is it because of this that the date in batch is showing so i.e.00.00.0000.

The interval maintained in material master is 730 days(2 yr period).

Dear Manisha,

Let me make it clear first that QA05 comes in to role after the "next inspection date" field in the batch have some value! Else QA05/07 will skip these batches. And will not take for creating recurring inspection lot.

And as per STD SAP, the next inspection date get calculated and system put value at the time of GR,(Next Inspection Date = Gr Date + Inspection Interval, calculation comes in to picture), and that you also know very well. But let me know have you changed out this logic, by implementing the solution I had given (the follow up action and Function Module etc)?????

If yes then have you done UD, because according to that now it will calculate it from UD date. So perform UD and observe.

And even then after it remains 00.00.0000, then check the development.

I do not have abap help for this,i did try to create functional module, but i am not getting the coding right.Can u tell me the coding steps if you have done so.

Hi Manisha,

As per you description about the issue I can sense that you are talking about the first time Next inspection date Calculation, right?

But this initial next inspection date get calculated based on GR date. Not from QA05.

QA05 is responsible for the recurring inspection calculation (Inspection Type 09)
